Portable-VirtualBox needs a new main developer

Portable-VirtualBox is a free and open source wrapper around VirtualBox that lets you run any operating system from a usb stick without separate installation.

I took over the maintenance after the original developer in 2011. Currently Portable-VirtualBox gets downloaded about 12 000 times per month. Unfortunately I also have a start-up to run and am struggling to find the time to continue maintaining this. Getting some help would be great :)

The most pressing issue is that VirtualBox release an updated about every second month. When this happens all users of the old version gets an error message when starting it, asking them to update. Typically we also have to update out version then. Normally this is trivial. Just edit a file and rebuild the Portable-VirtualBox file. Then test it. I no changes are needed on our end this process takes about 30 minutes. Most of it testing.

There are also some issues with Windows 7 I haven’t been able to work out. In a recent poll 31% of the users voted that Portable-VirtualBox didn’t work on Windows 7. Windows 8 isn’t tested for. If it takes off we should support that also.

Portable-VirtualBox is written in AutoIt, but prior knowledge of that is probably not necessary. I was able to pick it up quit easy.
